Celebrating Inheritance and Integration at Hong Kong Film Archive
Have you ever experienced the mixed media art from the crossover of film and Cantonese opera? Cantonese opera film, the confluence of these two art media to produce artistic expressions, is a unique genre in Hong Kong cinema. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Inscription of Cantonese opera onto Representative List of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the Hong Kong Film Archive is now presenting the exhibition, “Celebrating Inheritance and Integration”. As you enjoy the sights and sounds of the operas and recollect the glorious skills and the remarkable talents of Cantonese opera's former stars, you are welcome to join the Museum Summit 2019 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 28 – 30 November to learn more about other art museums’ formation and transformation as well.  Please register and hope to see you in the Summit!

Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum
Situated at the mid-levels on Hong Kong Island, Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum is undoubtedly the best site in Hong Kong where you can reminisce the great stories of Dr Sun Yat-sen, a prominent Chinese statesman and great revolutionary in the 20th Century. Surrounded facade by the Greek-style granite columns, the museum is in a typical Edwardian Classic architecture dating back to the early 1920s. It is now a declared monument and is reckoned as one of the best-preserved buildings in Hong Kong.   

Apart from the permanent exhibitions of "Dr Sun Yat-sen and Modern China" and "Hong Kong in Dr Sun Yat-sen's Time", there are also free film shows such as “Footprints of the Revolution: Passing on History” in the exhibition gallery. As you walk through the challenging journey of Dr Sun, you are welcome to join us at the Museum Summit, which will be held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 28 to 30 November. You could share ideas, get inspirations and establish connections with the directors of local museums as well as over 30 celebrated representatives from world-renowned museums and cultural institutions. Glistening Treasures in the Dust – Ancient Artefacts of Afghanistan 
Fancy a glimpse into the cultural diversity in Central South Asia over 2,000 years ago?  Starting from 6 November, the Hong Kong Museum of History will display the rare artefacts including goldware, glassware, bronze sculptures and ivory carvings from the collection of the National Museum of Afghanistan.  The exhibition will demonstrate the profound influence of foreign ancient cultures such as Greek, Indian and Roman on Afghanistan and its surrounding regions from the Bronze Age to the first century AD.  Apart from enjoying the exhibition in the Museum, you could also register for the Museum Summit to be held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 28 - 30 November to learn about the hybridity of practices in the cultural ecosystem, explore the roles of museums at multiple crossroads, and more…

Masterpieces in Hong Kong Heritage Museum 
Would you like to have a close encounter with the great works of art and culture by local masters?  The treasures from the collections of Professor Jao Tsung-I, master of Chinese studies will be on display from 27 November in the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, located next to Che Kung Temple in Shatin. Should you plan to visit the exhibitions in Hong Kong in November, you could also join the Museum Summit to share ideas, to get inspired and to connect with the directors of local museums as well as over 30 celebrated representatives from world-renowned museums and cultural institutions. Please register now and hope to see you there in the Summit!

Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre (vA!)
As an art enthusiast, have you ever thought of embarking on a vibrant journey of visual arts?  The Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre (vA!), situated in the Hong Kong Park (in close proximity to the HKCEC where Museum Summit 2019 will be held), is housed in a Grade I historic building, originally known as the Cassels Block which was built around 1900 as married quarters for the British army officers.  Come register for the Museum Summit 2019, make a little detour to the vA! to experience the "Breathe in . Breathe out" interactive media art installation in conjunction with other innovative visual arts exhibitions, and feel the uniqueness and inspiring vibe of this art space.

Come join us for the free exhibitions and more in the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware which specializes in the collection, study and display of tea ware, and is situated in the tranquil Hong Kong Park (in close proximity to the HKCEC where Museum Summit 2019 will be held).

Post Summit Cultural Tours (FREE)
Come and join us for a relaxing and delightful morning tours for free to Tai Kwun, or Sam Tung Uk Museum and Centre for Heritage Arts and Textile (CHAT) and Sam Tung Uk Museum on 30 November, 2019. On-site registration for the tours will be open on the first day of the Summit on a first-come-first-served basis. Don't miss the tours as you join us for the Summit.
